When life hands you lemons, you could make lemonade. Or, you could use lemons to clean your house. Lemons are very versatile for cleaning. The acid in them makes them a natural bleach alternative.  In addition, there’s also the lemony scent, which is very refreshing. Clean Your Microwave

Make the inside of the microwave easier to wipe off. In a bowl, heat a cup of water, several tablespoons of vinegar, and a chopped-up lemon on high until the microwave’s window is steamy. Let the bowl sit for 5 minutes before you open the door. Then wipe the microwave interior with a sponge.

Clean Your Wooden Cutting Boards

Remove food stains and smells from your cutting board. Using the fleshy side of lemon half – scrub the salt into the cutting board. Let the salt and lemon solution sit for about five minutes. Wipe the board clean with a sponge. Then rinse, and dry

Make An All-Purpose Kitchen Cleaner

  • One part white vinegar
  • One part water
  • Lemon rind
  • Rosemary sprigs

Combine the above ingredients together, pour into a spray bottle, shake, and then let infuse for a week before using. Once done, you can use the natural solution to remove hard water stains, clean trash cans, wipe away wall smudges, and much more. Besides a fresh scent, the lemon rind may help boost cleaning power.

Grout Mold Removal

  • Add equal parts lemon juice and vinegar to a small bowl. Slowly add baking soda until a paste forms.
  • Apply paste to the grout in your bathroom and let sit for fifteen minutes.
  • Scrub with a moist small brush.
  • Rinse with clear water.
  • Repeat (if necessary) until grout is clean
